Theology Track
Dig into the doctrines of our faith through a combined programme of self study and group discussion through Crosslands Training. Topics range from a theology of the Word, humanity, Jesus’ life, death, resurrection and ascension, the church, and the new creation, among others.
Time required: 1-2 hours/week self-study, 5 group discussions, over 18 weeks.
Open to all, highly recommended for ministry leaders.
Foundation Track
Develop as a disciple in the everyday stuff of life, and help others to do so as well. Learn how to put biblical language (like “gospel” or “discipleship”) into your own words so that we can all grow in love and obedience to Jesus. We also cover areas like evangelism, spiritual formation, and hospitality. Participants get study material ahead of time, then we gather together once a month to talk through what we’ve learned and how to apply it.
Time required: 1 hour/month self-study, 2 hour meeting once a month, for 8 sessions.
Required for Missional Community leaders.
Ministry Apprentice
Redeemer’s Ministry Apprenticeship is a 1-2 year role for intensive discipleship. It gives the apprentice the opportunity for deeper Bible study, extensive experience in the church, and is a framework for spiritual growth. It requires one day a week at least, plus Sundays, and is flexible around the applicant’t current job.
Through this programme you will learn more about God’s Word (Theology Track is included), more about how to serve the church (Sundays and throughout the week), and more about yourself (your gifts, motivations, limitations, etc.). The goal is to pour into the apprentice and enable the apprentice to pour into the church.
Time required: Sundays + an additional 7.5-8 hrs/week.
